Position: Part-time Kitchen Production (18-20hrs/week)

Hourly Pay: $17-$20/hr determined by experience

Who We Are

Located in Brunswick, Harvest Maine is a social impact enterprise working to address food waste through the sale of ready-to-eat products made from rescued fruits and vegetables. Harvest Maine makes 2 different products: (3) flavors of hummus like veggie spread and (2) flavors of dried fruit bites. We have relationships with over 20 Maine farms and we distribute our products throughout New England. This is our 3rd year in business and we are seeking production help to support the growth of our enterprise.

Unique Position

This is not your typical kitchen work. Upcycled sourcing means thinking creatively about where we get our inputs and what we need to do to prepare them for making our delicious snacks.

Some of the activities include:

• Cutting/trimming produce

• Prep and Cook, making use of basic kitchen equipment - food mill, oven, tilt skillet.

• Packing product into retail containers

• Dish washing and regular cleaning activities

• Inventory organization, including some lifting of 50lb boxes

• Occasional Farm Pick Up/Product Delivery
